Thanks mate, though as much as I love dA I don't trust them with the rights to my artwork. The terms of use are actually pretty scary like that.

Not sure how many they sell anyway ... in ten years I haven't managed to flog so much as a keyring!

how do you even know they haven't been selling you know? No animosity toward dA or anything as i said i feel the love...just dont wanna trust my images to essentially what is a social networking site. all my stuff here is low res so even if it is nicked (and i know it has been - ive sen my stuff on websites) it doesnt really matter.

Well, at the end of the day I don't know. I used to put signatures and stuff on images, but I don't now. I guess if I earned my living as a photographer I'd probably feel very differently about it, but I put leeching down to one of the sad but inevitable side effects of sharing stuff online. :)

It would be hypocritical of me to go condemning Internet piracy....So I dont. What I can do though is control the resolution of the images being pirated thereby having some control over how they are used. I do actually work in the industry part time but nothing to do with my landscape stuff :D

single long exposure with a single fill flash for the foreground :)

I really like the simplicity of this as well. It has very different textures separated by simple horizontal lines. Great warm colours, and I love all the detail involved in such a simple composition.

Is it just as simple as a nice sunset and a flashed foreground or is it more than that?
Can I see lights coming through the fence? Maybe a long exposure night shot?

thats correct. it was a long exposure of rainclouds lit from underneath by streetlights from the highway. the foreground was hit once from the left hand side with a flash i was activating by hand :)
